Darlington Cycling Club

Wednesday Evening Social Rides:

Check DCC fb forum for start times.

Average speed 14mph – Distance 20-25 miles

Darlington CC are pleased to announce that we will be offering a new social ride on Wednesday evenings from 23rd Aug 2017 for a trial period to gauge interest.

It is expected that participants will have a road worthy bike and can cycle the distance/speed mentioned. We highly recommend that you wear a helmet. There will be a qualified Ride Leader taking the ride. You will be required to supply your next of kin contact details, just in case you have an accident.

The object is to have a pleasant ride where people are not left behind. Given that the nights are drawing in, it is suggested that you have front & rear lights. We may stop for refreshments en route, so please bring some money with you.

Posts will be displayed on social media: DCC fb site and DCC fb forum advising if the ride is to be cancelled for any reason, such as weather. Feel free to ask any questions about the rides on these sites.

Teenagers are also welcome subject to the following (excerpt from Parental Consent form) - DCC is seeking to increase the proportion of its membership which comprises children aged from 13 to 17 (a Child). To assist in achieving this, Children are being offered the chance to take part in up to three DCC rides without being a DCC member. To take part in a DCC ride (regardless of whether a Child is or is not a DCC member), a Child must be aged at least 13 and have supplied to DCC a signed PARENTAL CONSENT form.

All rides will start and finish to the RH side of Blackwell Post Office.
